According to the statistics of a sample survey by the Medical Device Branch of the China Medical Materials Association, the sales volume of China's medical device market in 2015 was about 308 billion yuan, an increase of 52.4 billion yuan from the 2014's 255.6 billion yuan, with an average growth rate of about 20.05%.

With the intensification of the aging population, the pharmaceutical industry has received more and more attention, especially the sub-industry-medical equipment. From 2009 to 2014, the overall scale of my country's medical device manufacturing high-tech industry increased by 2.32 times, which shows the rapid development of the medical device industry. Judging from the performance of A-share-related listed companies, the medical device sector has delivered a beautiful report card this year. In the first quarterly report, 15 of the 23 medical device companies showed growth. Of the three companies that released interim performance forecasts, two reported good results.
From a policy perspective, the state also strongly supports the medical device industry. The General Office of the State Council issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry". Some of the contents are closely related to the medical device industry, mainly focusing on strengthening technological innovation, accelerating quality upgrading, optimizing industrial structure, deepening foreign cooperation, and cultivating emerging business formats etc.
